Kirin Corx Rox!!

Many thanks to all the people that took part in the Kirin Corx Grand Master Championship match last night at 'SW9'. It was such a brilliant evening that they struggled to make us leave at closing time!

Don't forget that every winning finalist from the KCGMC events will win a case of Kirin, a Limited Edition Kirin Corx T-Shirt and a chance to win a trip for two to Japan!!

It was great to see so many new people take on the challenge of Kirin Corx, plenty of which have already pre-registered to play on Wednesday, March 5th at The Backstage Bar in Brixton (see below for full address). So come on and challenge them!

The quality of play was very high at 'SW9' and I can see that we are going to have some fine competitors for the Grand Final. Special mention should go to Chloe, who dropped the Corx like she had been doing it for years, but only lost to another good new player in the final set.

The final went to the last set in a 5 set extravaganza. Steve - O and Jevon 'The Destroyer' had both played in tough Semi finals, both winning 2 -1 against their skilled oponents. In the Final all games were high scoring, Jevon took the first set 21 - 16, followed by Steve - O claiming the next two sets 21 - 18 and 21- 17. Jevon took the fourth set in a match where they were matching each other Corx for Corx! The nerves finally got to Steve - O and Jevon made the victory his, with a nailbiting finish of 21 - 18.

Well done that Man!
